Re: Globe at auction in Omaha Skydog 1 hour ago
Thanks Darin, I went ahead and bought it for around $575 after tax and fees. Don't know if this is a good price, but I wanted it.
I did notice on the pic of the box, there was faint printing that said Mobilgas.
I have been following this sellers items for quite a while, and have seen lots of quality items sell. This was his 10th auction, Must have a huge collection, I also have weakness for old tools. so I have been adding some pieces to my stash!

Blender Pump Topper(s) 1969L88 6 hours ago
I have two late sixties Sunoco blend pumps and am hoping to find two metal frame assemblies (what I would call toppers). Of course, would also love to find the advertising cover that Sunoco would've used.

Regards,

Mark

Re: Globe at auction in Omaha DWSheffer 11 hours ago
Sorry I didn't check the forum yesterday evening Greg, but yes, the globe is/was original. The original box was also present, which is always a good sign. One of my good buys on Ebay a decade or so ago was an original Mobilgas Special CAPCO body globe in the original box. It was a "Buy It Now" of $125 and was listed as a reproduction. I have no idea how someone couldn't have known it was original....how many items were sent by the Railway Express Agency in the 2000's, haha?!

Amoco 10x8 vwbusjukie 12 hours ago
For your consideration is a really nice 10x8 Amoco double side plastic. Was just pulled out of a barn yesterday and all I have done is wipe it down. All the internals appears to be there Also all the plastic is intact with no cracks. On one side the flame is faded but would be an easy repaint or just leave as is. This will need to be picked up in Johnson City TN 37615. Asking $5,000. MAKE OFFER I need gone!!!

Re: Question about bug sprayer “Philipps 44” Shelltoxandco 12 hours ago
To MATT ALVAREZ and advertologist
Thanks so much for these picts of Shell, Shelltox sprayers and Phillips 44 insecticide cans. I think, the orange Shell sprayer item on the right in the first pict is the most rare. OK if you can send me a pict of this one, I will replace the model with an oval tank in the table with this rarer model.
The Phillips 44 insecticide can is in a very good shape, hard to find in this new condition , I put one like this in the book, and another one with a mosquito instead of the fly !

I continued to write the book, here are 3 pages taken from it, you 'll see some Shelltox. I have more than 40 Shell and Shelltox sprayers and I will put the more beautiful items in the full book's pages.

Somebody knows what company bought A-Penn Champ oil corp ?

WW2 Era Scrapbook, Baseball, Pinup Girls, Guns etc Ghostflowers 21 hours ago
This scrapbook is fascinating, and it's hard to know where to start. It spans from the WW1 & WWII era up to the early 1960s, as far as I can tell. It's filled with wartime articles and photos, gas and oil memorabilia, pinup girls, knife and gun ads, vintage baseball items, and more. It even contains what I believe to be an authentic Lou Gehrig signature. I've previously sold a Gehrig signature from this collection that was authenticated—just the last name, but it's still quite interesting. I'm not guaranteeing the signature's authenticity, the scrapbook includes numerous items too numerous to list here. Should you want additional photos, I can send them via email.

The price is $150.00.

I offer discounted shipping through UPS and USPS, always aiming to minimize shipping costs. Feel free to message me with any questions.

Yeah, I surprise myself sometimes too smile I noticed all the vintage, new, modern, etc signs on ebay and other stores, but always take things I see on there with a grain of salt. If it says vintage, what do they actually mean, antique, older then 20, 40, or more years, or 10? LOL That said, my brain thought, hmmm, maybe it is something that actually was made as a metal sign one time, and I am just not experienced enough to know about. So I thought I would post here for all you knowledgable folks . I can say I learned something, and who knows, maybe one of these times, I will find something that is 1 in a million to find and rare smile But then again, probably not. And yeah, I like to gamble a little but not that much! LOL

Vintage Auto-lite clock and thermometer KentV Yesterday at 01:49 AM
I was hoping to get some information and perhaps a value on these two items. I haven’t seen any others around to compare them to. The clock has been professionally restored and works fine. The thermometer is how I found it. It is in decent condition however there is pale beige paint, very similar to the paint on the front, splattered on the back. I’ve seen the smaller version but this one is 38.5” by 8” wide. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
