I can't believe what happened this morning! Have a friend that has two really old cast iron island light bases. He told me if I would fix one up for him, sand blast, paint, wire, mount, etc. etc. he would give me the other one. After a little research I decided It would be a long while before I found a Revere light. After deciding to just try to find something that looked retro to put on it for a light, this morning I walked in to Northwest Electric here in Alva, to look for something that fit that description. I could keep my eye open for a Revere, and if I acquire one trade it out. He said I think I've got something upstairs like that that I ordered years ago and never was picked up. Here is what he brought down, I couldn't believe my eyes! At this point I do the best I can to get my jaw back up off of the counter and regain my composure! I say what would you need for that he says give me 20 bucks and it's yours! I am still trying to figure out what I bought, but know I like it and will use it. Is this a reproduction or new old stock or what? I can't imagine a reproduction actually having Revere on everything.

I have an original Revere that I restored. It was acquired from an old gas station up near Grand lake. Mine looks different than yours. Perhaps yours is a later model? Mine is stamped ST-0101 - Model number?

It has not been painted, The shade is bare aluminum, not porcelain. Did Revere go to an all aluminum shade toward the end of production?

Poleman does your catalog give a separate part number for a bulb socket or does it give any indication as to the year that my light might be? I have no porcelain light bulb socket it did not come with one.
Cold Pizza do yo have any pictures of the bulb socket to help me understand what I an looking for?
Any Idea when that light cold have last been purchased from Revere?

The bare aluminum shade made me really question whether or not it was N.O.S.

You want a Mogul Light bulb socket. It's almost 2&1/2 inches across.
These came with a clear bulb that's almost 10 inchs tall & 500 watts originally.
Try Lowes,Menards or Home Depot too.

They used the same socket on a lot of their lights. The catalog is a 1956,probally was phasing them out about then. They had already come out with tube florescent style to replace the island lights with.

I believe the socket mounts up inside the tophat by a bracket.
There's a few screws that hold it in place.

Boy, do I feel silly. Mine is a Stonco. Can't believe how similar the Revere is. That will teach me not to rely on my memory next time and instead go get the step ladder and get up where I can read it. Sorry.
