Hello folks, I'm new to this forum and completely new to this kind of collecting. I have an item that my father gave me, that I am wondering what the value might be. It's an unopened quart can of Penn-Trump motor oil, dated 1936. The can is in what I would consider good shape for its age, with some rust on the top and some patina all over. The bottom is in better shape, with only a couple rust spots. I can take more pictures if it makes a difference. I'm mostly looking to understand what I have here, and to learn a little about what makes a piece like this more or less valuable.

Thanks in advance for your help!

.I apologize for ghosting on this thread, I got distracted and well, then completely forgot. I have some more pictures of the can, in case anyone is still interested. The bottom is particularly clean, and the seams look great.

My best guess would be $600-$700. Nice can.
