Hey guys picked up this 30 inch Texaco sign, obviously in rough shape but have not seen another , any thoughts or seen one like it ?

Nick,

I haven't seen one like that before. My first thoughts are this sign is from a foreign market. Perhaps Canada (30" was not a common size used by Texaco here in the states).

...looks like it was cut from the center of a larger sign? The center section of a 42" Texaco sign measures roughly 29 1/2" - seems like you could fit that in a 30" ring easily...


Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...
